Established in 1979, Optimec has become renowned for its range of high quality lens measuring and inspection instruments. With the company now under new ownership, the Optimec team aims to develop and promote these instruments for the benefit of more contact lens fitters and manufacturers across the world.
Optimec instruments, such as the JCF series, have been designed for use in quality control departments, contact lens laboratories and research facilities. The high quality optics used in the JCF series allow for extremely accurate measurement of contact lens base curve optic radius (BCOR), centre thickness (CT) and overall diameter (OD). Visual inspection of both front and back lens surfaces for splits and inclusions is possible, as well as close up viewing of the lens edge. The JCF/F is fitted with a peristaltic pump and cartridge filter housing. In situations where large numbers of lenses are being tested or where the air quality is difficult to control, the JCF/F provides the solution. The Optisee has been developed specifically to assist the contact lens practitioner. Accurate inspection of both front and back lens surfaces for splits, blemishes and deposits allows the contact lens fitter to advise on the importance of a better lens care regimen for improved ocular health.
