Spare Parts
Optimec Limited carry a range of commonly used spare parts to suit our range of instruments. These spares are usually all that is needed to keep your “Optimec” in good working order. Careful use and regular maintenance will minimise the need for spares. If you do require spare parts however, Please contact us with your requirements and we will despatch within three working days. If we cannot fulfil your order within this time we will notify you.

Repairs and Refurbishment
All our instruments as far back as 1979, can, under most circumstances be repaired and reconditioned by our service department. In some rare cases due to obsolescence, we may not be able to repair or recondition your instrument. We take pride in our flexibility and are certain that should this happen, we can offer a solution that will get you up and running. When placing a repairs order, please give as many details as possible of the problem so that we can satisfy your needs in the quickest possible time. If you should require an urgent repair, we can in most cases turn repairs round in five working days. If we have problems in meeting this timescale, we will notify you as soon as possible. When you place a repairs order, we will supply an estimate for the work to be carried out.

Conditions of Guarantee

  1. The condition and performance of Optimec instruments are guaranteed for a period of one year. The guarantee period commences with the date of sale.
  2. Optimec Limited guarantees the elimination of all faults arising from materials or manufacture. The guarantee will be fulfilled either by repair or replacement of faulty components. Repair or replacement will be at the discretion of Optimec Limited.
  3. The guarantee does not apply to damage to parts that are subject to wear, nor to damage and defects caused by improper treatment or incorrect maintenance.
  4. No guarantee is granted for products that have been modified by the user in any way unless agreed by Optimec Limited in writing in advance.
  5. Carry out maintenance only as detailed in the instrument manual. Should any operational problems occur with the instruments that are outside the scope of prescribed maintenance procedures, please contact Optimec Limited. By doing so, problems of voiding the guarantee will not occur.
