The JCF/F
The Optimec model JCF/F is almost totally identical to the JCF, both physically and in function. The instruments differ in one respect only. The JCF/F has a peristaltic pump mounted on the left hand side of the cabinet, which feeds saline back to the cell via a renewable cartridge filter. The pump system will remove particles from the saline to give a clear image of the contact lens in the wet cell. The pump can be switched off so that in the event of any pumping system failure the instrument can still be used for contact lens analysis.
